William Wappler

William Wappler

William Wappler, President & CEO of Surgere, Inc., consistently navigates the global challenges surrounding supply chain visibility. Wappler formed Surgere in 2004 with the idea of parachuting into companies to help them solve packaging problems. As they continuously implemented returnable packaging solutions – customers wanted visibility to the location of their containers. Wappler rose to the challenge and Surgere began developing software to track assets. Using RFID allowed them to gather unprecedented amounts of data at a 99.98% accuracy level as parts moved around the world. It became a foundation technology as Surgere expanded into other technology solutions. Today, Wappler continues working with clients with one goal in mind – reduce costs and increase productivity – all while creating visibility throughout the supply chain.
